Do you hold records of estates? Great grandfather Ephraim P. Davis died in 1898, served in Civil War, lived in Montgomery County as well as Crenshaw County.

I grew up around Noccalula Falls, back in the “good-old-days when you could elk sown the side of the rocks, go behind the falls, and even go down stream if u wanted to go down another waterfall further down. It was incredible drifting down the water, I’d u had guts to do it. most of us have native americn blood in our veins, and are so proud of it. The original Romeo and Juliet story….,,,

Zoo admission is half-price on Tuesdays for individuals and families.

Train Ride: $2.50 or 3 rides for $6

Carousel Ride: $2.50

Regular Group Rates apply on half-price Tuesday.
Groups of 15 or more must make reservations a minimum of 5 business days in advance. Special group and school group rates are available.

I just visited the State Capitol with my daughter on a field trip and another class from my daughters grade got to meet Bob Riley. They thought it was really cool. And we went to the First White House of the Confederacy it was sooooooooo cool there. There was a picture of a lady there and when you would walk it looked like shes still looking at you. It was great. And did you know that the people in Alabama own that place, and the Governors Mansion. But we don’t live in it. Any chance you get go to the state capitol it’s really great.

My dad was a huge fan of Hank Williams. He owned a Gibson guitar, sang and played Hank’s songs all the time. Unfortunately, my dad also drank alcohol like Hank Williams. My dad is now deceased but when I close my eyes while listening to Hank Williams I am grateful that I can still here my dad’s voice. Most people my age do not appreciate the music from the past but I appreciate it for two reasons. Number one is because the songs are heartfelt and beautiful and the second is that I will always remember my dad’s voice when listening to Hank williams playing on my radio, records, tapes, and cd’s.

I am glad that dothan has a place like this… but the prices of the rides is not worth it. Well not to me since i came from down south where you are able to pay a one time fee of 25.00$ or less per person to ride all day and nite on the karts and boats.
this place in dothanhas been here for awhile and should give better deals then what they are. or more to choose from. i might not want to ride some of every thing one time… i might just want to ride the karts or the boats all day. all im saying is give more of a choice and make the choice for all people not just the ones who have money day to day that they can throw away.

This is a wonderful place to visit. The people working there are friendily and helpful. The mansion is a good place to see and the houses surrounding the mansion ( the village) is fantastic. It’s like stepping back in time. We will return.

We came up there from Ozark Alabama about one year ago and watched Winnie the Pooh with my childs TAG class. The schooll is Lisenby Elem and the teachers name is Lisa Smith. My child is doing an Alabama scrap book and I wondered if you could sent us a brochure to put in it. She would just like to show her classmate where she went.

My 6 year old granddaughter spent a day at your zooin June, 2008 with my brother and his family – she absolutely loved it; still talks about it to everyone. She has now started playing soccer at home in Harvest (Huntsville), AL. She suggested the name for her soccer team “The otters” because of her visit at your zoo. Is there any pictures, documentation about “your otters” which I can obtain? She has told everyone about “The Birmingham Zoo Otters”; I would love for her to have the pictures and all if it is available. Thank you in advance for the tremendous work you do.
